Easy Dessert, 2 Ingredients

easydessert

Let me repeat it for the people in the back!…TWO ingredient dessert. Sounds crazy right! Today, we are making a dessert that baffles my mind. The two ingredients are Jello-O and Evaporated Milk. Things that I always have on hand because, well I make baking tutorials and bake for a living, anyway, let me walk you through how I exactly accomplished this.

Ingredients

1 packet of Jell-O 6 oz

1 can of evaporated milk 12 oz

1 cup of hot water + 1/2 cup of cold water

Optional Items

3 graham cracker crusts

28-30 mini graham crusts

9×13 dish

Directions

  1. Open the can of evaporated milk and place it in the freezer for 2-3 hours (I left mine in the freezer for 1 hour)
  2. Place the hot water and Jell-O in a bowl and whisk to dissolve the Jell-O, this part takes approximately 3-4 minutes, once the Jell-O is dissolved slowly pour in the cold water to help the mixture cool
  3. Remove the evaporated milk from the freezer and place/pour the milk into a mixing bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, mix the evaporated milk until the milk doubles in size and becomes frothy, foamy, and whipped, this may take 5 minutes.
  4. When the evaporated milk reaches this point, slowly, using a ribbon method, pour in the Jell-O mixture without turning off the mixer. Slowly continue to incorporate the Jell-O and evaporated milk, until all your mixture takes the color of your gelatin.
  5. Pour into a deep 9×13 inche dish and place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
