Royal Icing Recipe

Hi friends! Thank you for stopping by. So if you’ve been following me for a while you know that I like easy recipes and things that simplify my life. Now by no means am I saying that baking and cookies and all things sweet are easy…BUT I am saying that when you have the recipes that work best for you they make all the difference in how easy baking becomes for you. So I hope this recipe is something that helps to simplify your cookie life. Don’t forget to share it with your friends <3

ROYAL ICING RECIPE

  1. 2 lbs powdered sugar
  2. 5 tbsp meringue powder
  3. 2 tsp clear vanilla extract
  4. 1 tbsp light corn syrup
  5. 2/3 C waterPlace all the ingredients in your stand mixer. At first mix on low to make sure all ingredients are incorporated. Once all your ingredients have incorporated move your speed up to a low speed (on a Kitchen Aid it is a 2-4) for approximately 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes move up your speed to medium speed (between 4-6 on a Kitchen Aid) for another 2 minutes. And finally move your speed to a high speed for another 3 minutes. In total your mixing time will be approximately 7 minutes. Your final result will double in size and will be shiny. Make sure to watch my YouTube video to see how I made this Royal Icing.

This royal icing recipe is very versatile and can easily be adapted with different consistencies for cookie decorating.

Ingredients
